Hello, I have an average HP laptop running Windows 8.1. It came with intel core i7-5500U (cpu) and nvidia graphics. I never changed or bought new graphic cards, they're both updated.

Whenever I shut down the laptop it has a black screen on start up where it gets stuck. It only boots up normally if I turn off the Intel graphics via safe mode. I tried uninstalling and installing the driver many times, it's updated to the latest version but it still does this.

(Sorry if this is in the wrong thread)

Solution
I sort of fixed it? I installed "HP Image Enhancement for System Logon", waited couple minutes (and pressed the F4 key some times) and windows booted up perfectly. Now i just need to wait 5-10 minutes everytime windows boots up

my BIOS setup doesn't have an option to do that. I can disable it in device manager but then my laptop runs slower, the "Sleep" function disappears and i can only access the NVIDIA control panel if intel graphics are turned on.

On another note, my nvidia control panel always only has these options.
