I would like to manually set the channel for my HG633 modem as my connection keeps dropping. However, I am unable to do so as the drop down list has only Auto option and cannot be changed. Please help.

Try to find out more about the reason(s) for the drops. May not be a wireless problem per se.

Does the following link provide the User Manual/Guide for your router (Huawei "Talk Talk")?

https://setuprouter.com/router/huawei/hg633-talktalk/manual-1872.pdf

First check Section 7.0 (Appendix) beginning on Page 30. Look at the indicator lights. What changes, if anything, when the connection drops.

Have you tried swapping out cables with known working cables?

Another concern is the splitter (filter) shown as #4 in the diagram on Page 1. Splitters do go bad and fail. Does your setup include a telephone and splitter?

That all said.....

According to the link at the bottom of the above post, it suggests that manual channel selection on the Huawei HG633 is only possible on the 5GHz band ---- there's no mention of changing channel manually on the 2.4GHz band. Very unusual for a dual-band router to say the least, but that's what those instructions suggest.
