Question Unable to connect 2 displays at the same time

I have a nvidia geforce gtx 1050 My main monitor connected HDMI (ACER K272HL) and have recently bought a second monitor (BenQ GW2270) connected DVI-D. As soon as I plug in the The DVI cable into the graphics card the main monitor goes black and says no signal. Even when I plug in just the DVI cable who is not connected to the second monitor the main monitor goes black.

I have tried using the second monitor on its own but nothing shows up except the OSD.

did you try the new one as main monitor using hdmi .

The new monitor doesn't not have an HDMI port but I have tried using the new monitor VGA to DisplayPort

could you use the dvi cable from gpu to the acer one and see if you have video from it .
