Unable to connect samsung smart tv to internet??

I bought a samsung smart tv and i dont have router but i made my laptop as hotspot wi fi router.When i connect my tv to wireless network it says it cant connect to the internet.What is the problem??.But i can connect my iphone wi fi to the internet.

It says Connected to wireless network but not to the internet.What should i do?

Turn your router off for five minutes and turn it back on.

I dont have a router,i am using my laptop hotspot to connect to the internet wirelessly

Switch of the firewall on your laptop for 5 minutes. If it works without the firewall, check the settings.

Go to the settings on your TV and select network. Change the setting for the DNS name to be entered manually and change the DNS name to 8.8.8.8
