I have been searching google for a few days now for an answer to my problem with no luck. The problem started when I took my desktop from my old apartment with its own network to my new place that already has one set up and running (all the other devices in this house can connect to the Internet just fine, including tablets, phones and laptops. My desktop could not however, and tonight I decided to simply reinstall windows thinking it would solve whatever might be wrong. Sadly no.
This computer is one I built myself:
The motherboard is an ASUS Z170
CPU Intel i7-6700k 4GHz quad core
Wifi adapter is a Netgear A6210

I am happy to link whatever information I can, at this point I'm not sure what's useful. If you are wondering I have installed the drivers for my motherboard as well as the wifi adapter. Thanks in advance.

The way I would check that ordinarily is from the router web page, but I can't access it from my desktop it gives me a no internet connection error and from other devices I can see the desktop but it is listed as an unknown device. Also from my desktop it says the network I'm connected to is an up identified one.

OK, so I understand that other devices can see the problem PC as an unknown device and the problem PC is connected to a network called unidentified.

Go to Device Manager, find Network Adapters and expand it, then right click on the LAN adapter and select update driver, alternatively you can can uninstall the driver and then reinstall it.

If this does not work please advise which version of windows you are using.

I am using windows 10 and I have tried simply updating the drivers as well as reinstalling with no success, I have also tried connecting via Ethernet cable (even though that can't be a permanent solution) and I still did not have Internet access.
