Yesterday i added another internal hard disk(465GB Western Digital WDC WD5000AZLX-75K2TA0 (SATA)) to my pc after which i discovered an interesting problem. Everything was normal but i discovered that i was unable to copy anything from the new hard disk to an external storage. i tried coping from a usb drive to the new hard disk, from new hard disk to an external hard disk but in both the cases after a certain percentage copying stopped and this continued even after multiple attempts. However, the interesting part is that i am able to copy everything between the two internal hard disks without any problem and am also able to copy from the old hard disk to an external storage. i don't even have a single clue about the problem!
EDIT: NOW I AM ALSO NOT ABLE TO COPY FROM THE NEW HARD DISK TO THE OLD HARD DISK.

Then this seems to be some virus/malware problem. Try deep scanning with good AV.
Hey there, @JusterBuster!

This sounds unfortunate! Have you tried using a different SATA cable with your newly acquired WD Blue? I'd also advise you to change the SATA port on the motherboard and see if the transfer between the external drives and the internal one will be successful. Another thing that I'd recommend you is to backup the data from the HDD onto the other internal and keep it safe there, until we have resolved the issues. After your data is safe and sound, check the health and SMART status of the WD drive by running the QUICK and EXTENDED tests from WD's Data LifeGuard Diagnostics for Windows.

Keep us posted with the troubleshooting!

Sorry for the really late reply. No, i did not get any error message, it just stops copying after certain percentage

Sorry for the late reply. the software did work and i was able to copy using the software. however, now i am also not able to copy between the two hard disks(without the software).
