Unable to create Windows 10 Bootable USB on Endless OS (error 0x80070013-0xA001A)

Hi there,

I bought new Asus laptop with Endless OS, and since I've never used it before, I wanted to install Windows 10 on it. The problem is, Endless does not support any type of Windows applications, so I was unable to install it from a setup file. The only option was to upgrade it to Windows 10 via USB bootable media or iso image.

However, after downloading the official installation media tool, I was getting the weird error every time by the end of the progress. It was the 0x80070013-0xA001A message error. Now, I've done many fixes, for example renaming the SoftwareDistribution folder and other things. It didn't worked. So, basically it has something to do with my PC, and I am stuck for two days right there.

I hope someone could help me. Thank you guys.

1. You can't "upgrade" that EndlessOS directly to Windows. An upgrade implies a preexisting Windows install.

2. You have to create a standalone Win 10 install DVD or USB. Using a working windows PC, here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

You can create a bootable windows USB from any OS here is how to do it from Linux, its just easier to do from a Windows 10 machine.
