Unable to Delete or Rename Certain Folders on SD Card - How to Fix?

Hi everyone.

I have folders on my SD card that I am unable to delete or rename. Right now I have two such folders.

When I try to delete one of these folders it does nothing. When I try to rename one of them it says this:

"Item Not Found

Could not find this item

This item is no longer located in F:\ Verify the item's location and try again."

I want to get rid of these folders which don't even have anything in them anymore.

How do I fix this? Is there a way to force delete a folder?

P.S. The SD card question is a SanDisk 200 gigabyte micro SD card in an SD card adapter if that helps.

Copy all data off that card.
Wipe it clean and reformat.
Start over with whatever partitions you want on it.

Some adapters have a read only switch, I would check there. If your adapter is in a USB port, I would try another port. I'm assuming this has always worked before though?

I will say though, sometimes when an SD Card starts to go bad, some files can become read only. It is possible either your card or the adapter is starting to fail. I would backup your data. Then try formatting the card just to make sure it's not just a corruption issue.
