unable to detect 2nd Hard Drive; system (OPTIPLEX GX620)

I can't see even in device manager nor in setup, but the power cable is fine and attached correctly.. please help me out

Hi,

First off is it IDE or sata disk? If IDE, you neet to setup the jumper properly.

Boot to bios:

If you can see it there, it's probably damage and not showing up in windows ?
If it's not showing up there, it most likely dead.

and it is a SATA, and is not damaged.
actually this hard is one of my friend's and I bring it bcz i want to transfer some data.... the hard has windows 7 installed on it and is singly running properly... but when I attach it with my hard it doesn't.

I hv installed windows XP service pack3 on my system..
