First time PC builder. Very inexperienced and very bad with tech. My problem, as described by someone with much more experience than myself, is that I'm trying to create a bootable USB from a Mac/PC (at first I used a Mac, but we thought that was the issue, so I borrowed a friend's Surface) and after the drive has been configured, the Gigabyte BIOS is not detecting the USB and allowing me to boot from it to proceed with the install. I'm almost positive the USB drive is formatted properly, as I've done it a few times now. I was using Disk Utility and Boot Camp on the Mac and then I switched to a Surface and used the Windows Media Creation Tool. When I enter the BIOS I can't find the USB drive anywhere. Where did I go wrong and what do I do? Thanks.

Solution
You should use a Windows machine if you're creating a bootable USB.

I just bought the Windows bootable USB from Microcenter and worked like a charm.
