Unable to do anything that involves right clicking

So I loaded up my pc this morning and i went to change some stuff in the normal control panel and when I right click my desktop to get to it the right click menu doesn't appear, I then decide to try deleting some files, and apparently my recycle bin doesn't exist anymore either.
Anyone know what's going on?

There may have been a corruption in OS's files. Did this occur after a mandatory Windows update? You can try and perform a system restore to a point prior to when the issue cropped up or try a repair install and see how that fares for you.

Could you please pass on your full systems specs? If its a laptop then the make and model number of the unit.
