[SOLVED] unable to download recommended driver Nvidia

cannot download new drivers due to geforce experience saying "unable to download recommended driver"
when i try to download them manually it says "driver cannot install on this version of window"
using Windows 10.

Set the Windows Driver Type to DCH instead of Standard here:

Windows 10 started using DCH drivers a few updates ago so if you have a DCH driver then it will not allow you to install the older Standard driver.

This DCH driver package is not compatible with the current installed version of windows

yeah, ive tried through geforce experiance and from the website.

You might need to use DDU to completely uninstall your graphics drivers, then reboot and then re-intall them.

It’s showing that my graphics card is the Microsoft display and not the 1660ti

i had windows 1703, i updated to windows 1903
