Hey guys,
I just bought a new SAMSUNG 840 EVO 250GB SSD
I have just activated the RAPID mode and when It asks me to restart the system I restarted it.
It took me nearly an hour to wait on the loading screen for the computer to actually restart so I decided to force shutdown it.
After the forced shutdown I can not enable the RAPID mode anymore and every time I Shutdown my computer, It takes an eternity. Is there any relationship between the problems? The shutdown problem start to appear right after the Rapid mode activation.
Is there any way I can re enable RAPID mode and revert my shutdown time?
Thank you for your help

Yep, I agree with Reedo_43, but also in magician, there is an option to authenticate your samsung ssd to make sure it's legit. You might want to make sure your drive is authentic.

The only reason I say this is because I had the same problem you did, I got cheated and got a counterfeit samsung evo drive (samsung evo outside, but some junk ssd on the inside). Once I returned it and got an authentic drive, everything worked great.

Also, can you confirm what version of windows you are using? And also, can you please tell us the name of your SATA controller (alot of people use intel's Rapid storage technology drivers, and that is known to cause certain problems with SSDs). If you are using that one, try to use windows standard SATA controller driver, as it is very good for a standard driver.

Again, I am just guessing, as I need more information from you.

Ah I'm sorry guys as it is my first post here.
I'm Using Windows 8.1. I am on AHCI mode and using SATA 3
Firmware EXT0BB6Q. Apperently there is no firmware update as of now.
My controller is Intel 7 Series chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller. I am not sure which controller are the stadard one haha.
The samsung magician said that my SSD is original.
And by the way the shutdown time is already going back to how it was. So i guess it doesn't have any relationship.
edited:
just reinstalled the samsung magician and it works .(i should have done it earlier.)
Thank you guys.
