All was working fine until 2 days ago when my PC (desktop type) stopped connecting to the wifi at home. I suspected my Wifi USB device as it also did not work on my partners laptop.
Bought a new wifi USB device. connected it to the PC installed drivers etc and can see the device present under Device management. However still no icon and no wifi networks detected.
To confirm device is okay I then installed it on my partners laptop and Bingo - it works. Go back to my PC, nothing.
My Ipod sitting on my desk alongside the PC happily sees and connects to the wifi, so it is obviously a corrupt system file or something similar on the PC.

Any ideas ? All help gratefully received

Hello ChuffChuff!

What I would try is to unplug the power cord connected to your desktop after shutting down properly, and press the power button 3 times, then plugging the power cord back in. If you have a laptop, take the power cord and battery out and do the same thing.

Let me know how things work! :)
