[SOLVED] Unable to fit cooler or infact even put the bracket back

I think somewhere along the line I've dropped the ball and cannot work out where. I took the stock cooler off my ryzen 3600 (a cooler which I had fitted) but am now completely unable to refit it because there is nothing for the screws to bite in to ?
Please see pic attached. The holes are just pitless holes and the spring screws on heatsink get no where near them. Have I lost some part because I don't see how I could have done ?

It sound like the backplate has dropped off the board.

Did you remove the cooler while the board was still in the case??

There's nothing to hold the backplate when you remove the cooler itself.

Thanks, feel a bit dumb now, yes the back plate had fell off and slipped inside case. Resolved now
