Hi!
Im struggling with this problem for about a week now. After migrating to my new m.2 drive ive noticed that my old system ssd is not accesible anymore.
Tried multiple recovery software with no succes. Suddenly yesterday it showed up normally and i was able to copy most of my data. Then when ive tried to format it went back to the unusable state...only gpartet showed me that the files are still there but i dont need them anymore i just want to format it and use normally. Disk shows some life signs as i see in task manager but does not show in diskpart list disk command also it does not initialise. Ive run out of ideas, maybe you guys can figure something out...below some pics of current state of things:

Looks like it's turned offline in the disk management window, can you turn it on and re-initialize it?

Also try changing SATA ports if you haven't already, as well as updating both of the drives firmware, maybe the drivers for the m.2 and ssd are conflicting with each other or the motherboard's firmware.

Honestly there are so many plausibilities as to what's causing this.
A final way to determine if the ssd itself is failing is putting it in another computer.
Keep us posted.

Oh, and can you see it in the bios?

Thanks for your reply!
The last picture is where i tried to reinitialize, the one with access denied response 😉 It looks like windows lost info about owner of this disk and it wont let me access it in any way so no firmware update for me (crucial software dont see the drive too), but also gparted on bootable linux coudlnt do anything...ill try to switch sata ports tomorrow, and then maybe try to remove the disk but it will be painfull since i have the old define case, the one that require you to remove the motherboard...pfff...but i guess whats needs to be done...and yeah its in the bios
