Unable to format write protected sd memory card

i have to format my microsd memory card. while formatting it shows card is write protected. i used diskpart, disk management , command everything. but i am unable to format. please help me.... thanks in advance....

i have sandisk micro sd 2gb card. it doesnt have any switch in it... what to do......

Just had the problem. None of the posted answers worked. I solved the problem by moving to another device. I put the SD card in my camera and formatted it there. Turns out the camera is not a computer and just doesn't care about protection, just cleaning the card. When I was done, I put the SD back in my PC and tested it by adding and removing files and then I formatted it in the PC and had no problems. Guess you just gotta think out of the (PC) box every so often

Solved - (in my case), I realise that your case may be different but I tried everything, but just changed the micro SD card adapter, and Bingo, it worked!
