Unable to go to BIOS or Boot Priority Menu, Ecs A55F2-M3 Mobo, currently has Ubuntu installed and running fine, i tried all options, the system smoothly enters into the Ubuntu login screen but when i move to Bios set up or boot menu, i see a black screen with the cursor loading and stays on forever and when i restart again system boot up normally, Is there a way to fix this, please help

Solution
clearing the CMOS does not damage anything, and it does not do anything to the hard drive.

clearing the CMOS only puts the motherboard options to default, as they were when it first came from factory (these options are many, like voltages, clock speeds, preferences regarding power consumption, boot order, etc etc).

For example, this is good for people who overclock, because it restores the default options :)

You can do it with no problem.

Lastly, there is no need to disconnect any component. You can simply open the case, reset the CMOS (with button, paper clip, whatever) and start the PC. For you to understand how safe it is, this can be done without the need of even unpluging the PC. Of course you have to shut it down, but it can...
Try to reset the CMOS. Do this:

You will need a paperclip/screwdriver/some metallic stuff for this. Also a flashlight is welcome (or just do it with day light):

1st-> open PC.
2nd -> search the CLR_CMOS pins. should be something like this:

01-two-pins.jpg

3rd -> touch both pins with the metallic (something that is conductive) stuff, so it short circuits, for 5 seconds at least.
4th -> BIOS should be reset to factory default.
5yh -> yey

thanks for the reply Sir, i was actually holding the clear Cmos as an last option as i was not interested to open up my tower and hurt my mobo, is there any other possible options available, i did searched the internet unluckily i was not able to find any exact solution, atleast if i could get to the boot priority mode i can boot to windows. Another question if i clear cmos connect my hard disk again and boot it will it pick it up from where i left or do i have to reinstall the OS all over again

It's quite simple actually.... x)

Thank you so much, it worked. i actually have done the clear Cmos thing a few times before but had to take all connectors out except the CPU on it, same as the video link u have attached below ( clear Cmos using PIN ) hence didn't wanted to try that again, more over i never knew we could work it out with all the peripherals and wires connected, and the other big hurdle i had was after clear Bios never recognized the Windows Boot sector from my Hard disk and had to reload OS on both occasions, But this time in Ubuntu the file systems are recognized automatically and it came back as normal, Cool, thanks again.
