I just rebuilt my computer on a M.2 which required me to reinstall everything.... bios to UEFI. I just found the issue of I can't install any VGA drives from either my graphic card manufacture (ASUS) or Nvidia's generic drivers.

When I try a DCH, I get an error saying that my system requires a Standard one. Ok, so I tried that, only to get the error that it's not compatible with my system. Ok, so I try again with an older version, doing both DCH and Standard. I've gone through 3 to 4 from Nvidia and the ones supplied by ASUS.

What is going on? Is this just a user error?

Solution
Windows 10 seems to have problems like this fairly often. usually running DDU and removing any trace of graphical drivers from the system will allow the installation of the new Nvidia driver package.
