Unable to install windows in new harddisk

I bought a new harddisk and try to install windows in it but installation abort and shows a error
"The file or Directory D:\system volume information is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility."
Then I Restarts the installation using other window cd. This time I ran Chkdsk utility at first using
Windows repair option and then starts the installation but it abort again and shows a error
"The file or Directory \Windows\winsxs\Manifests is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility.".
Same thing happens again when I try to install windows from bootable pen drive

CPU:- AMD FX 6300 MOTHERBOARD:- Asus M5A97 R2.0
GRAPHICS :- NVIDIA Geforce 210 1Gb
STORAGE :- SEAGATE 1 TB
RAM:- Kingston 4gb DDR3
PSU:- Intex 120 W

Please tell me what to do

Try formatting the disk before you install. Steps: 1. Boot off the install disk 2. Press Shift+F10 3. A command prompt should appear 4. Type in DiskPart 5. Type in list Disk 6. Type in Select Disk <Your disk number> 7. Type in Clean or Clean ALL
