Question Unable to open file.

Hi,
Just installed Windows XP 32 bit SP3. and during process instalation nothing problem.All the drivers need it was installed.I would like to install some software,unfortunatly unable to run all exe extension,and other thing problem all the an icon was change.

Normally I would suggest Doug Knox's "Exe file association fix" but his website has gone offline. This program appears to do the same things but is an executable file.

When you can't run executable files by clicking on them (try a right click too), you can often do so from a commandline prompt or the Run command in Task Manager. Doug Knox's version was a batch file you could edit, copy and paste into a DOS box if need be.

You might also try looking up the "unofficial SP4" which resolved a few issues on one of my machines/
