Unable to Play Videos transferred to Flash drive

i brought a new flash drive and transferred videos / movies from notebook to flash drive but videos/movies does not play from flash drive, Movies extn .mkv,.avi,.mp4, i use VLC player, notebook movies/videos works fine

What is the file format of the flash drive? Most probably a reformat will do the job. Go to Disk Management and reformat it to Fat32(file size limit up to 4 GB). If the issue persists, try formatting to to NTSF.
Just keep in mind to get all the data off the drive before this process.
