Unable to Port Forward

Hello, I am trying to set up a VPN for my friends and I. However, upon trying to forward the necessary ports I am met with this

I am unable to change the first three numbers of the IP, which I need to be able to change in order to properly port forward. I am using a Comcast Technicolor TC8305C modem. I have tried to set a static IP and have port forwarded in the past. However, it has been just recently that I have been unable to do so.

If its for a Minecraft server or something just use logmein hamachi. Much easier

It is asking for the internal IP address of the computer that needs those ports. That modem according to the manual I can find online uses 10.0.0.1 as its internal IP address and 10.0.0.2 - 10.0.0.255 as the IP addresses for the computers connected to it. So you should only need to change the last number like it allows. The server is the computer that will be sending and accepting data from that port inside the network.

It is for a VPN server. For some reason the university we attend wont allow you to connect to League of Legends. Because I live off campus I am allowing them to use a VPN server on my connection.

I have my internal address as 10.0.0.3 and it still does not work. After using a port checker tool it still claims that the port is closed on my IP.

Well you can always try using the DMZ option.... Although I would make sure you have a really good software firewall beforehand. Also some software firewalls can also block such ports without you knowing which could be your issue.
