I'm using a 40" 1080p tv for a gaming monitor and I cannot for the life of me get Crysis to set at 1080p. It does not show up in the menu and I tried to create a setting in CCC but closest I could get was like 1920x1072 or something. How can I get 1080p to work for this game?

Solution

Just go with 1920x1072 (I think you may have meant 1920x1076). At 1920x1080, for whatever reason Crysis 2 locks your refresh rate at 50 Hz instead of 60 Hz. At 1920x1076, the refresh rate is at 60 Hz which is more preferable (assuming that you have a rig which can handle Crysis 2 above 50 fps).

Regardless, at 1920x1076 you're missing 4 columns of pixels...out of a total of 1,080 columns. That's a difference of 0.37%. You're not missing anything.

Even the created one did not show up in the Crysis 2 graphics resolution menu. Maybe it just didn't save. I kinda gave up after awhile last night. I'll look back into it when I get home from work tonight.

Hmmmm that's actually strange. In the Nvidia Control Panel I set the custom resolution to 1920x1076 @ 60 Hz and it listed immediately in the Crysis 2 menu. Very strange. I'd help further, but I'm nowhere near my rig. I'm in college and it's at home a couple states away, and I have nothing capable of running Crysis 2 here so I can't play around with any settings to give you an idea of what you can do. Sorry :\
