Hello to all the helpful bunch of Tom's hardware community,

I have recently swapped my laptops (HP 250 G4) HDD for a 120GB Kingston SSD due to my HDD failing after an unfortunate drop. However, after replacing the old drive with the new SSD and installing my licensed copy of Windows 10 Education i have been having issues installing some software.

For starters, I have been unable to update my Radeon driver, because I would constantly get an NSIS error upon launching the installer. I was only able to install it after I downloaded it from a different computer.

Now, I'm trying to install HWMonitor, but am unable to do so, because it says "System was unable to find the path specified" when I run the installer from my downloads folder.
I installed Fortnite, Office 365 and Chrome without any issues.

Another thing that I'm unfamiliar with is the message I get on boot up:
Product Information not valid.
The following product information programmed into the system board...is missing...
System Board (00A) - System Board CT Number.

I assume I'm seeing this because I changed the original HDD component?
Should I be worried about this message or simply ignore it? I've seen on some sites that HP could help, but their support site won't let me through after checking my warranty status (Which is expired)

Any answers and solutions are greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Changing the hdd for an ssd shouldn't make any difference. Are there any other drives in the PC?

Try this for the NSIS error
right click start button
choose powershell (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter
once its completed, copy/paste this command into same window:
Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth and press enter
SFC fixes system files, second command cleans image files, re run SFC if it failed to fix all files and restart PC

Have you tried installing/running the HP Support Assistant? https://www8.hp.com/au/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html
- it might find all the drivers you haven't got installed and update them.

Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately, I can't even run the installer for the HP SA, I get the same "system cannot find the file specified" error and additionally the following error:

Unable to open the self-extracting executable file. The file is locked or in use by another process. The installation will terminate.

I don't understand how these error could pop up so suddenly after a fresh install, which I have done countless times.
