Unable to see anything on my monitor.

Well, let me clear some things first. I just built my first PC and I can run it. But the problem is that I cannot see anything on monitor. The GPU runs (I can tell by the spinning fans), the monitor is working as well and I am using it right now (and I have checked for the right input). So, I try to connect my PC with monitor via HDMI, which work perfectly (I have tested it with my Xbox-360).

Here are my specs; Motherboard: Gigabyte 990-FXA UD3
CPU: AMD FX-8350
GPU: XFX Radeon R9 270x
PSU: Corsair CX-750W
RAM: Kingston Hyper X

Any help would be much appreciated as I am new to building and really disappointed right now by this fact. Thank you.. :)

Nothing rings a bell. I have read many lists but my problem seems so complicated. :??:

Your problem is not complicated at all. If you follow this list and something is not working, then you need to narrow down what piece of hardware is not working and go from there. I bet you did not even try all of those. Most of them seem stupid, but are often the cause of the issue. CAREFULLY look at each one. 99% of the time this tutorial will solve the issue you have.

And based on your OP it is apparent you do not know much about diagnostics on PC's. Just follow this tutorial piece by piece and do not forget to try each and every solution until it is fixed.

Nobody is helping you because I gave you all the information you need to solve your problem and you have not stated any type of diagnostic work you have put in. We are not IT. We are not getting paid to come into your home and fix your PC. Follow what I said and post your results, and you will end up at a solution. Stop being a child.

Man, I tried to change my RAM slot. I tried to change HDMI cable. I even unplugged everything and built my PC all over again. I read the list and very few things that seemed possible, when I tried them it didn't change anything. it's my first built, but I am sure that I have put everything correct. I spend a lot time in sites and forums like this to get everything right. Who ever I asked they cannot see the problem. And who talked about getting in my house and get paid to fix my PC? No, I just say that I would appreciate it if you were trying to help me in this difficult situation I'm in. I paid a lot of money for this and I am really anxious about it. I want it to work. You provided me a link with a list and I thank you, but it didn't work. My PC is running, it may gets in BIOS, but I just cannot see anything. I have a great monitor that I am using right now and have tested it with my 360. So cable and monitor are definitely out. Graphics card is running. That's why it's complicated for me. I am asking for a guess or suggestion, other than the list provides. I get all the help that I can but it's just not enough. I have tried so many things that I feel desperate.

What is the exact ram? The Fury series? 2x4GB?

And a thing I like to do when my computer will not boot on first build is remove all not essential equipment. This includes all but 1 stick of ram, cpu, gpu, motherboard. The rest of your equipment needs to be removed from both power and connectivity to the motherboard. Once you have removed everything but those three, try to boot to bios. If it does not boot on the first try, move the ram to another dimm again after powering down and try to boot once more. If you have tried all four dimms, you have narrowed the problem to 4 components. Ram, CPU, GPU, and motherboard.

If you really followed the instructions above then there is a hardware issue. Follow the same process with another stick of ram. If that does not work, then most likely the problem is between the CPU, GPU, and motherboard.

Also, do you have a computer speaker that gives you beep codes? If so, what code is it playing?

Yes the fury series. I didn't mention it, sorry. One stick of 8GB. I have tried all slots, but nothing changed. I sadly don't have another compatible RAM stick or speaker. I will try to boot with no HDD and fans and tell you.

Unfortunately, no. I did not get this as well with my motherboard. I tried what you said but it didn't help. One more thing, I can't shut my PC down holding down the power button, what does this mean? I tried to hold for about 20 seconds but it just wouldn't shut down. I have to shut off my PSU. Is this good? I'm really nervous when I have to shut it down.

I did not buy the buzzer thing yet, because I realized that there is a high possibility for it to be the RAM. Can a PC start without RAM though? And what about the fact that I cannot shut it down normally??

I apologize for wasting your time. I'm ashamed to say this but here we go; the problem was that I didn't connect the PSU 8-pin cable to the motherboard beside CPU. I don't know how I missed that! I am really sorry. Now it starts properly but shows an error; "Reboot and Select proper Boot device" then press any key or something. do you know what this is?

Lol, it is #2 in bright red bold font. It is typically that easy. I have been there myself. No worries. Just next time, when you have an issue like this and someone gives you things to work through, the proper thing is to go through each step and physically make sure the procedure has been completed. You could have saved yourself a couple of days.

Is the hard drive used?

Hahaha.. yeah. The problem is that I had begun to build the PC one year ago, so I didn't remember what I had plugged. Hehe..

I solved the problem by removing the drive (it's brand new actually). Then I could get in the BIOS. Not sure why this worked!? Maybe it was trying to boot from the empty drive? Probably that..
