So a couple weeks ago a lightning struck my router via the broadband wire and as a result the router stopped working. That night I tried connecting the wire directly to my pc lan port but no connection. The following day though the net was working perfectly as the main box from where my connection is setup was fixed but still my router didn't work. So I took my router to the vendor. My warranty was expired and they kept the router with them to check the problem. Few days later they called me to inform that the problem was with adapter and as such replaced it. When I brought it back yesterday I haven't been able to set it up.

I tried routerlogin.net, 192.168.1.1 but neither worked. What to do now?

Here is a link to the router's documentation:

Your best bet is to read through the manual, attempt setting it up your network, and then, if necessary, post further questions.

Otherwise most responses would be very lengthy in order to explain it all.

But you mentioned "the problem was with the adapter" which was replaced. You may need to find the adapter's manual and go through the setup
for that as well.

You can also google for tutorials regarding "setting up a home network".

Really no way to suggest or provide solutions until you can get a bit further along and gain some understanding of what must be done.
