Unable to stay connected to the WiFi on my asus tablet

Until just this week I have been able to use WiFi on my tablet. Now all of a sudden it states that I have "No Internet connection". I turn the WiFi off and on and it scans the available connections. I find mine and type in the password and it connects for 1 second and goes from connected back to "Secured with WPA2 (WPS available)". It will not allow me to forget the address so I can start fresh. What can I do?

try powering off the router and turning it back on

you need to log in to the router config page

can usually find those details on a label on the router

though you need a device that can access the internet to do it

Do I need to do this from the tablet. I am using my smart phone to talk to you? This would mean plugging in the ether net. All other devices work would this change.

any device that can access the internet will do--it shouldnt disconnect other devices as you are only changing channel

if you change any of the security settings then that may cut of other devices

thats any device using the router to access the internet

Found the problem. McAfee blocked the wifi because the last wifi used had a bug. Ran a virus scan and told McAfee to allow my wifi site to connect and now it is working fine thanks for all your suggestions.
