Unable to update windows 10 from v10240

i am unable to update my windows 10 version.... i'm still stuck on windows 10 v 10240 which is way outta date, and when i scan for a update it says my PC is up to date.... I have tried everything in my power to upgrade my version of windows but it won't work.

So when you go into your command prompt and enter "winver" you see build 10240? Something is wrong.

Where do you see version 10240?

Download the Media Creation Tool from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10/
Run it and select upgrade now(as opposed to creating a usb drive or ISO)

This is a known "November update" bug. There are other ways around it, but the one i outlined is the most foolproof
