I have a Medialink router (MLWR_AC1200R) and after changing the SSIDs of the 2.4 and 5Ghz networks my computer can't use a wired connection to the router. I can connect to it wirelessly but the moment I plug in the ethernet cable I lose all connectivity.

The light at the ethernet port at solid orange and flashing yellow.
And when I used the control panel to diagnose the connection I received this message on screen:

Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (www.microsoft.com) is not respondingDetected
Contact your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)Completed
Windows can't communicate with the device or resource (www.microsoft.com). The computer or service you are trying to reach might be temporarily unavailable

I have no idea how to go about solving this issue.

Solution
Try doing Factory Reset in routers settings, or holding down a pencil or something "Thin" at back of router where says "Reset" and hold it for 30s.

Yeah, Funky router I would say.
