[SOLVED] Unable to use HDMI Audio Out from motherboard?

I have just set up an AV Receiver and connected it to my PC via HDMI. When connected to the HDMI output on my GPU it works fine, however when connected to my motherboard there is no output. HDMI does show up under playback devices. My motherboard is a Gigabyte AX370 Gaming K7. I had been using my GPU HDMI to run an older monitor so I would prefer not to use it... although I suppose I could just pick up a DP-to-HDMI adapter...

Is there anything I might need to enable on my motherboard bios or in windows to enable the output? Or is it possible the output is not available for a CPU which does not have integrated graphics?
