Hi there,

I just recently noticed this, so I'm not sure when it happened... but my 320 GB HDD is only coming up as 48 GB. I realized when I tried to install a game and it told me I didn't have enough space! So I did some checking in the disk management and sure enough, the missing gigs are un-allocated! how do I return them to the C: drive? I've looked for the answers online, but other people have partitions and all that, and I don't. I just want my space back to C; where it belongs! =) funny thing is I ran an HP performance advisor and the gigs are showing up correctly on there, just windows 7 is only showing 48... really strange...

thanks for your help.

Solution
ok what name for the new drive ? I belive you now need to delete the new drive if nothing is on it and then close out disk management and open it back up and do the extend volume.
just my 2 cents.

now that I made the the new simple volume on the un-allocated space, the option to extend the C: drive is now grayed out, now I just gotta figure out how to merge the two =)
