[SOLVED] Unallocated space

I recently got a 2 terabyte nvme hard drive. I was installing it and setting it up, but i must have accidentally deleted the partition. After a large amount of research and free trials of software that didn't actually fix the problem without asking for $50 when i wouldn't even know if they would work or not, I noticed one software listed the word sabrent (which is my new drive), was listed as the unallocated space on my boot drive. But instead of listing 2TB of unallocated space, it's listing only 3GB.
*The drive does show up in the bios in boot priority section
*I tried reinstalling the driver but the driver software won't install it because it doesn't detect the drive
*In the disk management there are only 2 disks, 1 is my boot drive, and one is my other ssd, so this new drive does not show up other than as allocated space on my boot drive
*in device manager the SMI NVM Express Controller has a yellow ! mark as it says it can't find the drive. I tried to remove it and add back,, and install and add back.
*I already switched the slots of my 2 nvme drives to test out whether it was a problem with the motherboard slot.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Solution
They said "make sure BIOS, chipset, and motherboard have the most recent updates and firmware." - it won't do any harm.

Maybe your motherboard will have a M.2 compatability list - have a look. Sabrent drive problems have come up a few times in the past couple of weeks.
try reconnecting the screws properly first and then if it doesnot fixes the problem then go to windows search box and type "disk part management" there it must display your drive as "unallocated space" so just right click on it and allocate a drive letter and then you are good to go

I can't do the option you said, because in your option, it shows "disk 2" where disk 2 is the disk we are referring to get working. However, mine does not show a separate disk at all. It only shows my disk as an unallocated part of disk 1 which is my boot disk.

So it shows 2 disks.
One is your data disk (no.2 disk)
And the other is your OS disk and that one ios noted at unallocated?
Try - https://www.dummies.com/computers/pcs/how-to-use-unallocated-drive-space-in-windows/

Yea I've done this step before. it will allow me to create a new drive letter with the unallocated space. However, it only allows the drive to be 3.4GB whereas my drive is 2TB.

It shows my "extra storage drive" as disk 0 which is an SSD, and then it shows my NVME bootup drive as disk 1, but it does not show my 3rd drive the 2TB NVME drive. Instead, it shows 3.4GB as unallocated on the same row as disk 1. When i ran a software, it told me that the 3.4 gig was labelled sabrent which is my 2TB drive.

If so, the new volume of 3.14gb is the new drive. before i made the new volume it was marked as unallocated.
Please list full specs of your system.
Include motherboard model name (you can find it with cpu-z) and
model name of all drives connected (you can find those with hdtune and in Device Manager).

Also show screenshot from Device Manager (where yellow exclamation marks is),
windows storage spaces and
photo from BIOS, where new drive shows up.

There's C: (1TB) and D: (3GB) on disk 1
and F: 3GB on disk 0

I gather Your OS drive is partitioned into C: (OS) plus D:
And F: is a data/programs drive?

Which one is your 2TB NVMe?

What types of disks are these?

What do you want to use the 2TB NVMe for?

C is supposed to be by itself (NVME), D is supposed to be the new drive(NVME), and F is the sata drive.
D and F are used for storing games.

HP EX920 - NVMe Disk 1
3TB HDD - SATA Disk 0
Sabrent 2TB - NVMe, Not seen at all

Which ports are each NVMe connected to?
M2A takes PCIe 3.0 and SATA
M2B takes PCIe 2.0

Also, look in the user manual, section 1-7 for applicable drive configurations.

I have already tried swapping the NVME slots and it doesn't show up in either one. I believe that I did see the drive initially when i installed the drive a few months ago. I have procrastinated getting it fixed till now, but like I say, i don't think it's hardware related because it showed up and i deleted the partition. How do i get it back?

Deleting a partition does not make it fail to appear in Disk Management.
It then might simply be 'Unallocated'.

Does it show in Device Manager, under Disk Drives?

No, it doesn't show there.
It did show as unallocated before i took an extra step to make the drive D out of the unallocated space.
