Does buffered ram offer a big advantage, what does 32 x 4 mean?

Is it worth the $10 extra for buffered, non 32 x 4 256 megs ram?

Buffered memory only works in systems designed for it. Such systems are complete garbage to the PC enthusiast. Buffered will not work in a standard PC.
