Hello everyone it has been awhile since I posted anything. Well it has come to a point where I think I want to upgrade my system. However, I want to do it in a cost effective manner. My present system is as follows:

CPU: AMD FX 8350
MB: Asus Sabertooth 990 FX R2.0
VGC: Sapphire/Radeon HD 7850
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaw 8GB
PS: Corsair HX 750W
SSD: 840 EVO 250GB
HDD: WD Black HDD 1TB
OD: Plextor PX-850SA
CASE: Corsair-600T

What I'm trying to determine is what parts could be upgraded cost effectively within $500 to $600, or do I need to upgrade at all. Pls. any advise on this matter is appreciated.

I'm really just trying to improve my system for at least the next 2 years. a more powerful cpu will be nice. However, with all the games coming to play and newer MB on the market, I was wondering weather It just smart to improve the system somewhat. I am satisfied with my system performance. But, I am thinking of the future.

you could go with a new skylake setup. You would be able to probably sell your cpu and mb on craigslist for about $200 (I did) and invest that as well on top of your $5/600 budget. I would look into the i5 skylake (or i7 if you wanna go big) the new mb that you like. And you can find an evga gtx 970 ftw refurbished with a 1 yr warranty on evga's site for $260. That would all lead to higher performance and within your budget.
