Hi all

I really need to know what I should put in my chieftec case.

I have an a7n8x deluxe and a barton mobile 2500+ waiting to be put in. I also have a radeon 9800Pro. 1gig of 3200LLC memory and a 80gb hardrive with 8m buffer. But whatever... I want to get a reasonable cooling solution that will outlast my 2500+.

Reading thru all these posts makes me dizzy and almost made me buy the
Vantec AeroFlow VA4-C7040

But I want a cheap solution, that will overclock well AND is quiet. Is there such a thing?

I have a Antec True Power 430 and its second fan is blowing right onto my cpu. I have an 80mm case-fan that I might want to replace too.

What do I really need? 2 fans on the power supply, 1 or 2 case-fans (>80mm?) and a heatsink/cpu-fan combo (easy installation preferred).

Is there such an egg-laying wool-milk-pig?
Thanks for any help.
I hope to get a couple of product names out of this to
order on newegg today.

Coolermaster Aero 7+, it's a piece of sh*t, Vantec Aeroflow is the best bet in that price range, if you can spend a little extra cash, then the Zalman CNPS7000A-ALCU is a ultimate silent beast, that allows moderate overclocking, at zero noise level.

moderate, huh? I plan on running the xp2500+ mobile at 200 * 11. Think I can do that? Also, slightly related, my proc is from week 40... is it still unlocked?

not an expert in AthlonXP CPUs anymore, since i've moved to 64, but I think all mobiles are unlocked, and 200x11 the Zalman'll handle just fine.

From what I read, the Zalman won't be an easy installation on the a7n8x dx. I dont feel like taking the mobo out.
