Under preforming pc

So I have

i7 6700k 3.4 ghz
Gtx 970 4gb
8gb ram 2800mhz
500w psu
1tb hdd
Windows 10

And my pc seems to be under preforming I've tried reinstalling drivers changing power to my gpu etc and nothing seems to work my pc still really underperforms any recommendations please

What MoBo are you using. And could u elaborate underperforming. Few stats would be helpful in supporting your point.
