Underclock 667 for best performance?

Will underclocking my DDR2 667 to 533 to match my E6600 actually increase performance? I've been hearing it will actually increase speed with 1:1 ratio.

It will increase performance by like 5% in certain apps, not worth underclocking it imo, i would just overclock my cpu so the 667 ram runs in a 1:1 ratio.

The better (the smaller) the latency timings, the better. For something like CL3 or CL4, there might be a small negative effect in certain cases. Here's an actual test:
