Hey all,

I just put together a system with a A64 3000+ and MSI K8N Neo4.

The problem is that the chip is only running at around 1010MHz, as opposed to 1800MHz.

Here's a screenshot:

The voltage is set to 1.45v but only reaches about 1.02v, and the multiplier is set to x9 but only reaches x5. Cool and quiet is disabled.

What could be causing this? Weak PSU (Antec 350)? Bad BIOS?

Thanks in advance.

Like Wusy said - Put it under a little strain and see what happens.

If that helps, just run F@H all the time....

It turns out it was an old bios version that didn't support venice cores. I didn't even think of this since it was a brand new board.

Updating it did the trick :)

Even if it doesn't help, run F@H all the time. Sometimes things just need a little burn in time is all...
