I underclocked my FX 8350 to 1.4 GHz with a voltage of around 0.8 volts, and I went into the BIOS to take it further and lowered the clock speed to 0.8 GHz. For some reason when I run CPUID it says my CPU's voltage is 1.376 volts which is higher than it is at its standard clock. Does anybody know what the voltage should be in the BIOS? I set it to auto expecting it to change the voltage but it hasn't.
For anybody wondering, I am doing a side-by-side comparison of my CPU and my Dad's CPU at the same clock speed. I will also use my computer for about 1 year with this clock speed to test it in depth.
