Underclocking the GPU ?

I was wondering if underclocking my gpu ( amd r9 270 ) will make the card ''worse'' i mean if the game performnace will be lowered like the fps or the pc performence will be lowered?
Also is this a solution to make it cooler? In some games its reaching temps like 70c-75c...

Yes, underclocking will reduce performance, but it will not directly reduce heat because heat is mainly related to the voltage applied to the GPU core, and I do not know of any R9 270 cards that allow you to alter the core voltage. In any case, 70-75C is fine.

this is a problem i have and i got answers but none seems to work....and i heard underclocking may solve it but idk... :/
