Underperformance after upgrade

I added a sound card to my new build recently, and the frame rate dropped drastically in my graphics. I can't seem to figure out the problem, I don't know how to check the performance rates on my computer...and the only logical thing I can think of is that the power supply isn't strong enough to support everything plus the new sound card (it's 600 watts). Is this a common problem?

What CPU and motherboard do you have?

it may be that your sound card bumped your GPU down so it can use less PCIe lanes, depending on how your motherboard allocates lanes.

This is my PC part picker list, the sound card I added was a Asus xonar dx. Outside of having built the computer, I don't know a whole lot about the intricacies to how they work.

got it, what slot did you put your GPU in? Did you put it in the one more towards the middle of the board or towards the edge?

If by gpu you mean the graphics card, it's in the middle, and the sound card is towards the edge
