Motherboard: Asus h170 pro gaming socket 1151
Processor: i5 7500 3,4ghz 3,8 ghz turboboost
Gpu: Gtx 1070 8GB
Ram: corsair 8 GB ddr4-2133 memory.

So I have bought most of my parts for my pc about 3 months ago and that is when the problems started. Most of them where minor problems like my drive being at 100% all the time, which I fixed easily. But now I am actually stuck. My cpu and memory run at close to 100% if not 100% when playing games such as csgo and WWII. When Idle they can use up to 40%. With Idle I mean having one google chrome tab open which is running youtube. This results in framedrops and that really annoys me. I have also updates the motherboars bios to its newest release.
I've also checked the heat and it says the max heat can be 100 degrees and acording to HWMonitor it runs about 60 degrees. Even when gaming it doesnt go above 70 degrees.

I've used many ways to test it and they all resulted in my cpu and memory underperforming. I already got in touch with the website I got all my parts from and they said that they could test it for me but before I do that I thought of asking some who have more knowledge about the matter.

I have already taken a look into the bios but that goes way to far for my comprehension.

I will be heading to bed after this is posted and will be reading answers tomorrow. Many thanks.

How do I check that? As a Dutch person some of these terms dont really make too much sense to me. But if this were the case does it mean I should get another corsair stick? Thanks in advance.

Acording to CPU Z it is running on a single channel. But what does this mean? Can you explain this a bit further please?

Alright that seems an easy solution. I was already looking to upgrade to 16gb ram so I might just buy the same stick again.
Hopefully that will resolve this problem. But I'd like to know why this happens. Does this mean that it is smarter to buy 2 4gb sticks instead of one 8 gb stick? Thanks in advance.

I ended up buying the same 8gb stick once again. I will recieve it tomorrow. Will give an update.

I would recommend buying a matched set of two 8GB DIMMs. A matched set is guaranteed to work as a set. Buying "another" DIMM has no guarantee that the two DIMMs will play together. Buy a matched set and either reuse or sell your single DIMM.

Alright so I just installed the new ram. This was the result. http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/8902839
I also found out that the first two DIM slots dont work. Great. But now I need to figure out how to enable XMP which doesnt work with my board. I guess I have to do it manually. Thanks for the advice. I guess not having working slots makes it impossible to enable xmp as it require two slots like A1 and B1 but now I can only use B1 and B2. Any solution except for having it return to the maker?
