Ran AIDA64 stability test last night on stock setting to understand my cooling setup prior to my first attempt at overclocking my rig. I've never OC before so taking small steps to avoid big mistakes. At max all CPUs reached high 50s to 60c. Is this the normal range? I understand when stressed they shouldn't exceed 80 but preferably maintained around low 70s. Does it look like I have the proper headroom with my cooling setup?

Goal is to achieve 4.0-4.5 on air.

- i7-5820K - Dark Rock Pro 3 - Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB - Intel 750

Solution
Let's hope someone with specific LGA 2011 experience chimes in. If not, post another thread with your CPU in the title and see who responds to that.
Went with the Dark Rock Pro 3 because of the manufacturer stated TDP of 250. Not trying to max the OC or break records. Just need to get an increase for running productivity software such as Excel and Power Pivot. No gaming.

I was expecting that under stock conditions proper cooling for OC would be max 50 to allow enough headroom should I need t increase the voltage. This is all new to me so not sure how to interpret the stock results.

Hopefully someone with this CPU can chime in since it has a high TDP to begin with.

Worse case I'll just begin the process in steps and monitor the temps.
