Never done it before but since its been super warm outdoors and my GPU has been running hot and loud. I decided try and undervolt my GPU, I get the same clock speed but with less heat ( from 78c peak to 72c peaks ) with significantly quieter fan noise.

Before 1.050V 1905 to 1920 mhz when gaming
After 0.950V 1920 to 1950 mhz when gaming
My questions are
1. Is it "safe" to keep it like it is right now ? It's stable , quieter and cooler
2. Why does it come default to higher voltage if lower works & also gives better speed & temps ?
I have 2080 Super Windforce Gigabyte.
