Question Undervolting a i7-8750H in a ASUS ROG Zephyrus G17

Is it safe to undervolt a CPU using ThrottleStop on this laptop? I learned recently that the reason that some games drop in fps is due to the cpu throttling. I want to undervolt so this doesn't happen so the temps are as high as they are. Any recommendations as to what to do, how low should I undervolt if it is okay to do so?

Undervolting won't kill your board, just go 1 step at a time until it's stable, then when it crashes/doesn't even turn on, just go back1-2 steps where you know it's stable.

Thank you for the reply . a few quick questions though. Say I undervolt it and it saves and crashes. Will there not be a problem booting it up again? or will it reset back to normal settings?

ThrottleStop doesn’t apply the undervolt until the app is running and it doesn’t hold in the BIOS.

U might wanna try using Intel XTU if you prefer the easy way, but still just as sizzling says.
