Hello

I got a new laptop recently and i'm really liking it however the one thing I hate is how hot and noisy it gets when doing stuff on the laptop and mainly when gaming. I could just be browsing youtube videos or the internet and all of a sudden my fans will ramp up and then slowly go down after awhile. I then came across this video (

I wanted to ask people who would know more about the topic before I go ahead and do it. Will this lower my temps ? Will this affect my performance??

Thanks so much

Undervolting is essentially the same process as overclocking. You're trying to find the lowest stable voltage for a given frequency on your particular CPU. Because of the variance in chips, they generally set a voltage curve that will make all chips stable. However that means those voltages are higher than what most chips can run on.

Undervolting on laptops actually increases performance by allowing the CPU to hold turbo boost longer, and sustain higher base clocks.
