Undervolting?

I have a Phenom ii X4 965 BE CPU. The stock voltage was 1.45. Prime95 load temperatures was 60 degrees. But then I undervolted it to around 1.25 volts. The temps now are around 50 degrees acording to HWMonitor. That doesn't seem real to me 😱 . BTW, I'm using the stock cooler. My question is, does this seem right? Or am I doing something wrong (not complaining thought lol)?

was there thermal paste and a good seal on the cooler make sure its clamped down nice and tight. How long did it take to get to those temps? If it was after a while of stress testing with the stock cooler it might be okay.

Yes it is. I run a 1090T mildly OC'd to 3.5 Ghz, more voltage means more heat to dissipate so dropping the voltage will lower temps. Here's what I get with various voltages

1.4375V 63C
1.4250V 58C
1.4000V 55C (but not stable, stock clocks drops temps to 45C)

You can see where this is headed. Run the lowest voltage you can while the CPU is stable to keep the temps low.
