Hi there - I have a couple of fans that seem to have unusual connectors (i.e. not 4 pin molex, or motherboard 3/4/5 pin fan header connections).
Can anyone please help me identify these? Are they designed to plug straight into the motherboard? Are they for some kind of LED / RGB control? Do I need a separate controller etc.??
Thanks for help!

what fans are these; make & model?
where did you get them?

it appears to be proprietary connections for a fan & LED combo control hub.

i've seen a few sets using these 6pin connectors for both motor & LED. but they would always come with an included hub and/or a converter cable to connect directly to a motherboard.
the 3pin male cables may be for some sort of daisy-chain setup or to connect directly to an included hub.

without knowing the exact make & model of the fans it's difficult to tell.
