Earlier today I was using my computer and I randomly was disconnected, I have been getting disconnected like once a day but for very short time roughly 1 minute for a while now so I assumed it was going to come back. I reset my computer and still had no access

- I did the TCP/IP stack repair since sometimes when I start my computer the internet won't work and that usually solves the issue (except this time)

-I was browsing through forums where other people had this issue and I tried a few other things and still nothing

Currently using a wifi stick to have internet access, but my wired connection still does not work, disabled it in order to have the wifi up and running.

Solution
Couple things to try:

- A different Ethernet cable making sure it is fully inserted at both ends

- Updating the firmware on the router

- Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver for the LAN port on the computer

- If none of the above works, it may be a hardware failure of the LAN port, which can be bypassed by a PCI card
